parades to attend. If shopping is your thing then its Newry with a fantastic technicolor parade full of floats, bands and costumes, created and coordinated by local community organisations. Enjoy a lovely meal in Rostrevor or Kilkeel on the way back to our cottages.

The alternative is the historic town of Downparick with all of the Heritage associated with Ireland’s patron saint. Join in the  annual St Patrick’s day walk and take in the stunning landscapes around Lecale and St Patrick’s Country and explore some of the highways and byways that St Patrick himself may have walked!
